SoftServe is Ukraine-based provider of offshore software development services with development facilities throughout Ukraine and sales offices in Massachusetts and California, USA. The company is headquartered in Lviv, Ukraine, while development offices are located in Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Chernivtsi.
SoftServe provides software development, quality assurance and software maintenance services.

The company was founded in 1993 in Lviv, Ukraine by two post–graduate students of Lviv Polytechnic University. Supported by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Incubator Center, they started the company with 3 people.[1] In the first year SoftServe made an excellent delivery to its first client, General Electric. Since then, the company has completed up to 1500 projects for over 100 IT companies worldwide.[2] SoftServe has grown to more than 1100 professionals on staff, becoming one of the largest software companies in Eastern Europe.

- SoftServe was ranked No. 2 in “Top 10 to Watch in Emerging European Markets” and No. 7 in “Top 10 Leaders in Human Capital Development” category by GlobalServices 100 of 2007.[3]
- Developed by SoftServe, RE3W real estate application [4] incorporating Windows Live technologies was selected as a finalist for Microsoft Corp.’s Partner of the Year Award in Custom Development Solutions, Web Development in 2007.[5]
- In 2006 SoftServe’s proprietary solution for the retail industry SalesWorks was recognized as the Finalist in the Microsoft Partner Program Awards for a Technology Innovation Partner of the Year Award in the Mobility Solutions category.[6]

In 2006, the company launched SoftServe University - corporate training Institution in Ukraine for improvement of developers’ knowledge and retraining of specialists.[7] The University enables students and young specialists to advance their expertise and to receive vast technical experience as well as to obtain international IT Professional certificates.[8]
