[edit] Career

Sofiane Feghouli began his career with Grenoble Foot 38. During the 2006/07 season, he made three Ligue 2 appearances for Grenoble.

During the summer transfer window of 2007, Feghouli was interesting top European clubs such as Ajax, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Milan and Valencia.[citation needed]

Feghouli was strongly linked with Liverpool, but the move never materialized. However, rumours of an impending move to the English Premiership have persisted, with Chelsea and Blackburn also entering in the picture.[1] [2]

Although he was flattered about being linked with Barcelona, he feels that he is more suited for the English Premiership.[citation needed]

He is a massive fan of Gerrard and Mascherano.[citation needed]

[edit] International career

During the 2006-07 season, he was called up to the France U-17 squad on three occasions but did not play in a single match.[3]
