The SOFA District is a neighbourhood in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The origin of the name is the acronym for the South Of Franklin district (S.O.F.A. district).

The SOFA District is the hip but edgy area of immediately south of Franklin Street. It is bordered by Cameron Avenue to the south and Roberson Street to the west. The eastern border of the district is less distinct, but has a border lying near Mallette Street.
