Julien Chabot (a.k.a. Sunny-J) was born in Timmins, Ontario, on January 18th 1982. He was baptized by F Les Costello. He was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at two months old.

He attended O'Gorman High School and graduated OAC in 2001. While at O'Gorman Julien was Bud Frump in the school's production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Julien also played the title role in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

After graduation, Julien moved to Toronto, Ontario and has worked at Cinnabon and Sam the Record Man.
