Template usage notes
- This template links to the "confirmed sockpuppets of user" and "suspected sockpuppets of user" categories if and only if those categories actually exist (they will not appear if redlinked.) Examples:
{{socks|Mykungfu}} → confirmed sockssuspected socks
{{socks|Jimbo Wales}} →
- This template takes one expected parameter: the exact and correct username (without the prefix "User:") of the suspected sockpuppeteer, for instance {{socks|John Doe}}. If this is not provided, the default will be "Example".
- This template is appended to template {{ssp}} when that template is given the optional parameter list=y. Examples:
{{ssp|Mykungfu|list=y}} → WP:SSP page on "Mykungfu" confirmed sockssuspected socks
{{ssp|Jimbo Wales|list=y}} → There is no WP:SSP page on "Jimbo Wales"
- This template does not require substitution.
