Talk:Socialist republic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article should be merged with the Socialist state article. Who agrees? Jareand 03:41, July 12, 2005 (UTC)
- Seconded. mikka (t) 22:31, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
- I also agree. In addition, since "socialist republic" was and is the official name, this article should hold all information and socialist state should be a redirect. -- Mihnea Tudoreanu 00:13, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
- Object, see Talk:Socialist state for reasons. Cmapm 23:01, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with some objections; the many contradictory uses of the label "socialist state" or "socialist republic" can only be resolved through a disambig page, and I have chosen socialist state to be the disambig, because "state" is, after all, a more general term than "republic". -- Nikodemos 04:27, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- All in favor say, I. I, i, i, i. Just kidding. I like Nikodemoses proposal, and think we should take that route. --Tλε Rαnδоm Eδιτоr 21:53, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Someone redirected Socialist state to Socialist republic. I found no rationale for the redirect on either talk page. I have reversed this. (For the reasons listed above, among others). Jacob Haller 00:46, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
