Talk:Social issues of the 1920s
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article plainly needs to have its title changed to indicate that it wishes only to speak about a single country. As it is this article is ridiculous for Wikipedia: it might as well say, "In the 1920s our ancestors were rather naughty and thought it was good to ban alcohol (but nowadays we Americans don't ban alcohol anymore)". This may be in a category "Social history of the United States", but that's not good enough. The article should be expanded to talk about the whole world, be renamed so that it only applies to the United States, or be trashed. Elyssaen 19:42, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I can understand why someone added the NPOV tag. The article makes a lot of baseless, slightly biased remarks, although I believe that stems from the poor layout and style of the article. I'm removing the NPOV tag, and cleaning up the information in the article. However, I think it needs some specific citations. The fact that this article was written by a now-inactive user doesn't help.--The ikiroid (talk)(Help Me Improve) 21:08, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More info needed
Should be more on the KKK, Eugenics, and widespread "respectable" or "scientific" racist ideology. AnonMoos 23:58, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Be bold and add it. I'm trying to clean it up, but your help would be appreciated.--The ikiroid (talk)(Help Me Improve) 15:14, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge
The discussion of a merge is going on at Talk:1920s#Social issues of the 1920s.--The ikiroid (talk)(Help Me Improve) 01:15, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Roaring Twenties
The Roaring Twenties seems to be covering all this material, and is currently at a more-polished level. How is this article intended to fit against that one, ultimately? Sanguinity 19:00, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] America
Why is this article talking only of the US. Instead the title implies it covers all of the countries in the 1920s. Mallerd (talk) 19:45, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
