This is my first time creating a page on Wikipedia so please bear with me. My article is in reference to DISAMBIGUATION, this is the only explanation I could find for the word,( to establish the true meaning of an expression, regulation, or ruling that is confusing or that could be interpreted in more than one way.) I would like to start with the word SOCCER, Could anyone tell me where the word originated?? The use of the word to describe FOOTBALL is very confusing as this term is only used in the North American Continent. While I am on the topic of Football, could anyone explain how American Football can be so called when the only time a foot makes contact with the ball is for a Kick Off or a Field Goal. I think that this sport should be refered to as American Rugby as I am sure that is where the game originated from, the English sport so named after the game first played at the presigious RUGBY UNIVERSITY, with of course a huge alteration of the rules repected by the rest of the world. Please respond to this Talk Page so that we can sort out this confusing terminology.
