Society of Vacuum Coaters

The Society of Vacuum Coaters (SVC) is an non-profit, professional association of individuals who are interested in the fundamental science and applications of vacuum coating on an industrial scale.[1]
SVC Mission Statement: "The mission of the SVC is to foster technical excellence by providing a global forum to inform and educate the members, the technical community, and the public on all aspects of vacuum coating, surface engineering, and related topics."[2]
The society was fouded in 1957 and has a fifty year history with a rapidly growing engineering technology field. The society hosts an annual meeting, offers short courses and other educational opportunities and publishes a variety of books and technical guides.
