The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is the apex Industry body representing 38 leading vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers in India. SIAM is an important channel of communication for the Automobile Industry with the Government, National and International organisations. The Society works closely with all the concerned stake holders and actively participates in formulation of rules, regulations and policies related to the Automobile Industry
SIAM organizes the biennial Auto Expo series of trade fairs in co-operation with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA).The latest is the 9th Auto Expo held in New Delhi from January 11th 2008.
The President of SIAM currectly (from the year 2007) is Mr Ravi Kanth, Managing Director, Tata Motors and Mr Dilip Chenoy is the Director General
