Soares Sambu

Soares Sambu is a politician in Guinea-Bissau. He was Minister of External Affairs from May 2004 to November 2005 and has been Minister of Natural Resources since April 2007.
Sambu was the Vice-President of the National People's Assembly when it was dissolved in November 2002.[1] He was the campaign manager for the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC) during the March 2004 parliamentary election,[1][2] in which PAIGC won a plurality of seats; following the election, he became Minister of External Affairs on May 12, 2004, as part of the government of the new Prime Minister, Carlos Gomes Júnior.[1] He left office in November 2005, shortly after Carlos Gomes's government was dismissed.
In the government of Prime Minister Martinho Ndafa Kabi, named on April 17, 2007, Soares was appointed Minister of Natural Resources.[3]
