"Soak Up the Sun" was the first single from Sheryl Crow's 2002 album C'mon C'mon. The song, which features backing vocals by Liz Phair, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, becoming one of her biggest hits since "All I Wanna Do". The song peaked at #17 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. It also reached #16 in the UK.
The video for this song was directed by Wayne Isham and features Sheryl performing the song on the beach. It also includes shots of Sheryl surfing and jumping off a waterfall.
The song was remixed for club use by Victor Calderone and The Kidz Bop Kids recorded a cover version.
