So They Say is an alternative rock band based in St. Louis, Missouri. They released their self-titled debut EP in 2005. The band quickly gained fame and became critically acclaimed. Shortly after, in 2006, they released their debut studio album, Antidote for Irony on Fearless Records. They recorded the follow up album, Life In Surveillance with Matt Hyde (Strung Out), released on October 9, 2007. So They Say appeared on Warped Tour 2007, 2006 and one week on Warped Tour 2005. In April, 2008 the band changed its line-up and name to The Audio.

On February 14, 2008, the band posted the following on their MySpace blog[1]:

It was very sad they left. We wish them good luck with their future. We are sad but, David and Joseph are getting together and writing back to like "Antidote for Irony" Please keep checking out our last LP. (LIS) We hope to keep all our friends. Stay tooned and we will fill everyone in when we get everything back together. SO WE SAY |

On March 21, 2008, the band announced two new members and new music, in the following MySpace bulletin:

(More like "Antidote") We are going to be recording soon and we will update our page once we get recorded. We will update our page, let everyone (k)no(w) who is all in the band. On April 22, 2008, the band changed their name to The Audio, announcing it via MySpace bulletin:
