Snuffles (cartoon character)

Snuffles is a cartoon character in the children's series Away on a Boat, where he is also known as Quick Draw McGraw's dog. While still a puppy he saves Quick Draw McGraw's daughter Rosy from drowning in a crocodile infested billabong, and is promptly adopted by the McGraw sisters. The series then follows the children's adventures as they go on a boat trip down a nearby river.

The television series Away on a Boat is based on the children's book of the same name by Paul Cambell. The first editions of the book featured watercolour illustrations in the same style as the later "smudged" texture used in the cartoon.
