- Machan I added some refs to the mid section. If you can try to find some to the 1980–Present, Post-independence and Ceylon Light Infantry Volunteers. Until that I'll format the remaining refs. Happy Editing! --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ walkie-talkie 17:44, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

its funny BUT !
machan , that is one of the craziest things I have seen so far in Wikipedia, asking citations(actually they are given at the black July article), for what I wrote in the talk page ! I burst out laughing!! BUT machan, we got to understand that he is under tremendous stress these days with all those accusations came from that NGO guy..Some people do wild things when they are under intense stress, if this is the case we should just feel pity for him and forgive him..Iwazaki 会話。討論 00:48, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Sri Lanka
Hey Snowolf! Since you haven't responded to my comments on the discussion page yet, and since someone has modified the article a lot which I had to partially revert, I'd like to address you here. I know that our opinions on the interpretation of Sri Lankan history differ, but I feel that you are a serious Wikipedia editor (like I myself hope to be), and I want to ask you to stay with me on developing the article, and to stay in dialogue with me. I can't do anything alone because I will be reverted and put down again and again for what I write, even though I sincerely try to keep it impartial. I hope you agree that the recent changes ([2]) were not impartial, even though I know what the author was trying to say, and that he tried to highlight some aspects that are without doubt relevant. But the way he put it was inacceptable for a Wikipedia article in my opinion. You may have seen that I made a change in accordance with a point you made on the discussion page (Tamil kingdoms attested late), and I hope we will be able to find more points of agreement. Looking forward to working together, Krankman 23:31, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
List of terrorist incidents
Hello.
I'm not a new-user (in reference to changing List of Terrorist Incidents), actually, I just wasn't logged in.
The reason I changed the entry for World Trade Centre Bombings was the whoever last contributed to it listed Islamic Jihad, Hamas and Jemaah Islamiyah as co-conspirators. There is, however, no evidence whatsoever that links the three groups to the bombings. It seemed more like a 'weasel-word' attempt to portray Hamas and Islamic Jihad as targeting the United States, something which they have never done.
Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reduxx (talk • contribs)

I'm So Sorry!
I apologize that you feel I have vandalized Wikipedia. I truthfully did not mean to. I only edited based on information I've heard from one of my professors, I'll be sure to cite for evidence next time, and to edit much more carefully. Once again I apologize. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.68.148.49 (talk) 06:34, 18 March 2007 (UTC).

"Censoring" Wikipedia
Snowolf, come on! This has nothing to do with censorship. Wikipedia is for everybody, and this picture is just as inappropriate for younger people and the faint-hearted as any x-rated movie. And it is a good thing that sensible people would try to keep certain things out of the reach of children--don't you think that a child could get traumatized because of a picture like that? And I don't think that's what we want to achieve here at WP. Since we mention "atrocities" in the text, that should be enough to make the point! Krankman 15:18, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Murali
Dude, I hadn't realise that I'd removed that bit of text, but you undid the change that I made for the better! I'm sorry for my mistake, but you need to be careful in undoing so-called "vandalism," when I actually had the best interests of the page at heart. You should delete what is wrong, but keep what is correct. I encourage you to be more diligent in future vandalism checks. Permarbor0 Talk 09:42, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Tamilnet edit
In this edit you reverted, removing the citation of a reliable source. Your edit summery was "no reply". Please read the discussion at Talk:Tamilnet#Reliability of Anthropological Quarterly indicatign why this source is considered reliable on Wikipedia, and then please either restore the deleted content, or allow another editor to do so without reverting. WP:AIV - User:Savejarehh
Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. -- Netsnipe ► 06:57, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Please read talk page before redirecting!
Hi,
Regarding http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_terrorist_incidents&action=history Two months ago on the talk page I discussed the issue that the title of the article was "List of terrorist incidents", whereas the actual scope of the article was limited to non-state terrorist incidents, and asked for suggestions for how to correct the problem. Receiving no suggestions, I then proposed to correct the title to reflect the article's actual scope, following wiki editing guidelines. Nearly two months later, after seeing no objections to this proposed refactoring, I then went to the effort of diligently implementing the change, which involved creating a new page for "List of non-state terrorist incidents" (the actual scope of the page), moving the old content to this page (including the old talk content), and putting links from the old "List of terrorist incidents" page to both the new "List of non-state terrorist incidents" page and to the previously existing page that lists state terrorist incidents.
I am now dismayed to see that you have reverted this work and redirected "List of non-state terrorist incidents" to "List of terrorist incidents". If you disagree with the corrected title, please discuss it on the talk page first.
Thanks, DBooth
Jaffna Coinage...
...is now Pre-modern coinage in Sri Lanka. Take it wherever you wish from here. It could, in fact, be a good neutral article about currency on the island throughout history if someone wanted to work on it. Lexicon (talk) 15:41, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Your inaccurate welcome message in my talk page
Thanks for you belated welcome, very interesting and in my opinion WP:HOAX tags have been used inappropriately instead of making a collaborative attempt at writing articles. The article said has citation but not in the WP:CITE format, hence it needs to be improved, merged or deleted. But attempt at making Wikipedians believe that Lion myth of Sri lanka is a hoax itself is a hoax at best or WP:VAND at worst. Either way, long stay in Wikipedia seems not to have helped some editors in understanding the five pillars. I will move this very interesting conversation to the appropraite talk page, that is if you may care to converse. RaveenS 19:40, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Lamka or Lanka
Hey Snowolf!
What I did was to change the transliteration of the Sanskrit and Sinhala names to conform with the official IAST standard. The Anusvara or Sinhala binduva is transliterated as /ṃ/, which is in Sinhala pronounced as /ng/.
Of course, we could consider putting in the pronunciation according to the IPA standards as well, which for /laṃkāva/ would look like this: [laŋˈkaːʋə]. But that would make the whole thing even more confusing I suppose, what do you think?
Cheers, Krankman 14:23, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Velupillai Prabhakaran
Great job with the article. Almost there, shows Sri Lanka specific Wikipedians can put aside their differences and create neutral article about the most divisive people and events. If Americans can do a neutral article about Osama Binladen why not us ? I think you have proved that you can Taprobanus 15:04, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Commons images
Hello Snowolfd4. While looking for images about the Sri Lankan conflict on Commons, I found the images you'd uploaded from the SLA. You may not have realised this, but the deletion request is actually still active as it hasn't been closed. Essentially, what you need to do to have the pictures kept is to get an email from the army saying they've given the permission needed and then get an OTRS ticket based on that (see commons:commons:OTRS and commons:commons:email templates). For now, I've put the tags back on the images and left a note on the deletion discussion page at commons:Commons:Deletion requests/Sri Lanka Army suggesting that you be given time at least until the end of May since things tend to move slowly when one deals with governments in South Asia. If you don't think you can get it by then, I'd suggest you post a note on the deletion discussion asking for more time to get formal permission. -- Arvind 20:25, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

WatchlistBot/Tamil Nadu
I see that you've been fixing some incorrect tags by User:WatchlistBot. I'm the bot's owner. I wanted to let you know that you can add those pages to User:WatchlistBot/Tamil Nadu to keep the bot from retagging them in the future. I restarted the bot this morning, and it retagged some pages, but reverted those changes myself (and put them in the exclusion list). If you just leave me a talk note, I can look through your contributions and do it myself (or you can tell me which pages need to be reverted, and I'll do the reversions too). Thanks for your help. Wondering about your edits to Emirates. I think they should be reverted. The suspension is only temp and will be back soon. The fact they have stopped seriving the airport is an important issue about security/saftey. Coolmark18 21:00, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
