Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thanks. Majorly (o rly?) 16:16, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
UCC
Thanks for the heads-up about the controversy about the Upper Canada College article. These private school boys can get carried away. There were similar problems with the article about St. Michael's College School, which is about half a mile from UCC. John FitzGerald 23:58, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi - thanks for making that great userbox :) - I'll be adding to my userbox collection soonish. Thanks again, Martinp23 20:58, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Snowbot
Any chance you can tell Snowbot to clear out some user cats I deleted? That's a lot easier than going on AWB and removing the members :) VegaDark 02:49, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- No problem, I've just been unblocked so I can tell my bot to deal with that. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 13:35, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks a ton...and WTF, you were blocked? Glad to see that is resolved now. If you could have your bot check for empty user cats like this once or twice a week that would be great, I'll make sure to first remove the cats from any templates I see though. VegaDark 20:06, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Entrusted with the Bucket!
Thank you for supporting me in my RfA. Thanks for your vote, I've received an overwhelming 96% support and successfully took a copy of bucket-and-mop from the main office!
School graduation exam and HKCEE are both pressing in, so I might become inactive for a while. But soon after that, I look forward to working with you! --Deryck C. 03:34, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Your comment on User Talk:Essjay
Hi! I'm sure your recent "worthless contributions" barnstar to Essjay's talk page was well meant, but it struck me as very inappropriate. Would you please reconsider placing it there? Thanks, William Pietri 08:46, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think you meant 'countless' and mistyped? Might be worth heading back to clarify. All the best, Ben Aveling 09:51, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

- I've been blocked by Pschemp (one month), but now I've been unblocked by other admins. I've just removed both my unblock requests, but in the history you can find what I had to say on this matter. I wanted to support him in this moment, not to bite him ;-). I think that it should be AGF another time :-(. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 13:35, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia Weekly Notification!
This is just a friendly reminder that Wikipedia Weekly has been released with a new episode!
This is a special episode we recored specifically dealing w/ the whole Essjay/Ryan Jordan situation. We recorded this before Jimbo's second comment, so it might be a little dated but still a good listen.
As always you can download old episodes and more at http://wikipediaweekly.com/!
Please spread the word about Wikipedia Weekly, we're trying to spread the word so that people know about the project, we've got some cool guests lined up and it makes it much more fun if people tune in!

just a heads up, but your bot seems to have renamed Category:Women's Colleges that are Coeducational to simply [[Category:]] when it was supposed to be changed to Category:Former women's universities and colleges in the United States that became coeducational. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Keatinga (talk • contribs) 20:50, 3 March 2007 (UTC).

Thanks so much for the barnstar, its my second so far even though I've been here since December (had my account since May '06). Again, thank you and I'm going to move it to the barnstar section of my Userpage (if you don't mind!!) Anyway Thanks and happy editing!!!Tellyaddict 11:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!!!
Thanks for saying you would support me in any future RFAs, you see the thing is my failed RFA was only two months back so I'd like to leave it for 1-2 months, your comment is greatly appreciated and if you would like to nominate me in the future months I would be overjoyed, thanks again and happy editing.Tellyaddict 17:04, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello
Is there a way to say "I Think This User Is a Sockpuppet But I Don't Know Whose"? That is what I would rather have done. I was kind of freaked out when they asked me to email them privately (because it seemed like they created the account to ask me to do so). And then when they started barking about the Army manual that scared me. I don't want some curette-wielding Marine showing up at my house. Any ideas? Joie de Vivre 23:24, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Xiner
I created Xiner's RFA, so you can create a co-nom. Oh, yeah, that reminds me, could you provide a link to Xiner's former RFA in your nom. It slipped my mind. bibliomaniac15 02:56, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wait! Sorry I wasn't referring to Snowolf, whose offer I have to regrettably decline. I've already had one from a while back, you see. Sorry! I hope you'll still offer your thoughts on it, though. Xiner (talk, email) 02:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Mediation
It seems that after the edit war, one user was blocked for two days and then we could continue discussing again normally without wars, so it seems maybe we don't need a mediator anymore (however, presumably we will need it again... :-( ). Thank you, --Xtv - (my talk) - (que dius que què?) 05:19, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Commment about my RfA
Hi there, I'd like to thank you for earlier this week saying you agree with Retiono Virginian, he has created my nomination and I have accepted it and answered the questions, I'm not advertising my RfA as I know that is discouraged but because you agreed and felt I was ready for the tools, I just thought you may wish to leave your comments on the RfA. Again thanks and happy editing!! Regards - Tellyaddict 21:16, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Userboxes
That's not what I mean. I know how to transclude, but if I had more than one box on the same page, it would be pretty hard to just use one box. Do you see what I'm saying? Cremepuff222 (talk, sign book) 22:09, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Request
Please add a space to your signature; it's stretching the edit window. Then again, simply shortening it would be good too. Picaroon 22:34, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
The entire section was overrun, and the links were incorrect. I don't suggest reverting that section back to the original state, but if you think so go ahead.
Wolf's Rain
Wow. Snowolf you are quick. I was just writing something on the talk page as we speak. The section definitely needs editing. You have to read into the spoilers section to be able to get a good overview of the story. In addition, the last couple of paragraphs are more like a rant or someone's theories behind the plot, which is for a forum discussion. Maybe I went about this the wrong way but I am somewhat new to the whole editing thing (for the most part I just try to suggest things in the talk pages of established pages) but this was just begging for some improvements.--88wolfmaster 23:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I wasn't trying to make anything serious of it. It just looked annoying, and it would be better to remove it. Thanks for the response, I do appreciate it.
malfunction
Hi, the bot seems to be malfunction, it is deleting category instead of renaming as per the edit summary. E.g [1]. Cheers.--Vsion 00:37, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, you're totally right, unfortunately. Uman error, of course. This evening, when I'll be back at home, I'll fix the previously done damage. Right now, I fixed the code so the program can work. Snowolf (talk) CON COI - 14:20, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Your Signature
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but your signature is exceedingly long in wikimarkup and I found it very disruptive following a diff because of it. Please can you try and reduce the overhead somehow? --Spartaz Humbug! 20:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
MedCab cases
Hi, I am concerned that you are taking on a lot of MedCab cases. I would recommend that you try to concentrate on a few cases, for example Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2007-03-06 Steven Alan Hassan has had some heated discussion during the last three days which you should try to moderate. --Ideogram 05:18, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- As clearly stated in my user page and on this talk page, I was moving my pc from one house to another. I'm now back. I don't think I have problems in handling multiple cases at the same time, simply I wasn't on the pc, in this days, for what I've said. Now I'm back and I'll begin moderation. However, I now see that I have to drop the case to which you were referring because of my strict COI policy. I've got issues with Mr. Introvigne, and I've decided to retire from that mediation. Snowolf (talk) CON COI - 22:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

My RfA
Thank you for your support in my my recent RfA in which I withdrew because the oppose votes were almost equalling the supporters. I then decided to leave my account (Tellyaddict) and start fresh under a new username, however I quickly decided to reconsider after another user persuaded me not to leave the account - I am now glad I did reconsider because leaving that account and creating a new one was too hasty so I've decided to improve rather than starting again! I hope we can remain civil and that there were no negative feelings caused. Again, thanks for your support even though I withdrew it, your vote is much appreciated! Hi,
I would like to request a edit rate change for my bot, Snowbot. Can you please tell me what it the procedure for such a thing?
Thanks and happy editing,
Snowolf (talk) CON COI - 00:59, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- No formal procedure. :-) What edit rate do you want? —METS501 (talk) 01:01, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Something like 7-10, I don't know how much exactly. Simply the currently rate of 5/min is slow, since CFD/W is really long many times. And even UCFD, sometimes. You're more expert than me, and you surely know better than me what is the rate that Snowbot need, I think ;-) Snowolf (talk) CON COI - 10:54, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

I have just started a article with the title mentioned above. Perhaps it would be interesting contributing\starting with me to this list; it might be fun if their is some kind of a competition between several users, to be on top of that list! Maybe some people would go and work harder, do more, contribute more, and vandalise less! Not take it 'too seriously; its just for fun, and feel free to add yourself to the list! So, what do you say?

If you could run this to delete users out of user categories again that would be great, all the 0-level categories were deleted and I'm pretty sure there are lots of people that still need to be removed, also Category:Wikipedians in Serbia and Montenegro needs to be cleared out again as someone recreated it, among others. Looks like your bot/script caught a race condition and reverted my rvv of "HI MOM' from Polyester. It was this edit link. I'm going to revert your reversion since it seems obviously wrong. Hope that's ok. jhawkinson 12:06, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi, did you remove my paragraph on Kenny Rogers and the Mets? If so, why?
Thanks

Thanks for the barnstar!
Thanks for awarding me my first barnstar! Like you, I use Lupin's anti vandal tool, and have become pretty proficient at it. Keep up the good work with everything you do, Danski14(talk) 22:40, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Not exactly sure how to best respond as I'm not fully familiar with all of Wiki's features, but the content I removed from depersonalization page was badly spelled, inaccurate (it presented itself as fact with no source and was only an opinion). Also, it's format messed up the page and appeared as only one long line of text. I believe the text was an act of vandalism, not my removal of it. Thanks.
False Reversion
Your bot's reversion on Canterbury High School was faulty. The sections in question that were deleted were quite noticeably un-noteworthy and opinion-based. Bots aren't able to pick out stories because they mention "kids getting wedgies" (i.e. something completely irrelevant to a school's wiki page.) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.101.97.67 (talk) 06:35, 27 March 2007 (UTC).

Wrong person
I'm assuming that other people have the same ip address as me, but I did not vandalize the Chromosome page!!! This is so insulting.

More snowbot tasks
Any way Snowbot can periodically depopulate Category:Wikipedians per this UCFD? There are also several more user categories that are being discussed right now that look like they will need to be depopulated as well. Thanks, VegaDark 07:33, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- No, subcategories should not be removed, only user pages directly in the category. Is there any way you can tell snowbot to not remove the category from pages in the category namespace? VegaDark 20:09, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
