Just American? Never seen any in the UK or Japan... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andycjp (talkcontribs) 13:31, 28 December 2006

I've seen them in the UK occasionally, but I suspect they were introduced through seeing them on American television imports (I certainly first heard of them through The Simpsons). --Safalra 11:57, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm 44, live in the UK and made them as a kid. I don't see why they have to be an American introduction.
I am younger than you, though not much, a thirty something, and I live and grew up in the UK and I have never heard of snow angels, until today. I saw plenty kids making these things in the local park and did them myself but never thought I was or they were trying to make angels, more like pretending to fly on snow. Just been watching sky news, about some snow angel record attempt and the British presenter asked an American guest on the show, what on earth a snow angel was? Maybe, I am just stupid for not having heard of them, but at least I am not alone in Britain. The presenter, like myself was from the north and so maybe snow angels are some soft in the head, southern English obsession? -- 3 December 2007 81.158.96.131
