Snow golf is a sport based on golf but played over snow instead of grass.
Rudyard Kipling, living in Vermont in the 1890's, invented the game of snow golf.
The annual World Ice Golf Championship has been held in Uummannaq, Greenland since 1997. http://greenland-guide.gl/icegolf/
