Snow and the Seven

Snow and the Seven is a planned 2008 Disney film. It is an adaptation of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" set in British colonial China where a group of Shaolin monks take in a refuge girl. It is a martial arts/Chinese fantasy, a West-meets-East story during the 1880s.

Novelist Michael Chabon will write the script and Yuen Wo Ping, who was responsible for choreographing The Matrix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will make this film his first English language feature film directorial effort. Andrew Gunn will be producing the movie, which will be overseen by Walt Disney Pictures' Brigham Taylor.
