Snow Queen (Croatian: Snježna kraljica) is the name of the women's slalom race of the Alpine skiing World Cup which is takes place on Zagreb's mountaintop "Sljeme" (Medvednica mountain) since the year 2005. The race was originally called "Golden bear", but later the name was changed in honor of Janica Kostelić whose sport victories helped gain the race for Croatia and Zagreb.
• It's skiing on the red run. Start is at 985 and end at 785 meters.
• Victory fond which is given on Snow Queen is the biggest in women races of the world cup and is 165,000 euro, of which winner takes 60,000.
• On the race approximately comes 15,000 to 20,000 viewers and that makes it the most visited women race in the world cup.
• The race is the only one that is near a million citizen city (Zagreb).
• The run has the most lights of all races.
• The trophy is a crystal crown which has winners name on it and she gets the cloak and she sits on a throne like a real queen.
• 5.1.2006. Janica Kostelić drove here a best race in her life which with she became a legend of world skiing. From 7. place from first ride without a pole and a glove she skied to 3. place in second ride and she was better than actual world champion Anja Pärson
• On Sljeme Ana Jelušić won 2. place in 2007.
