This file has a JPEG version at Image:Snow_crystals_2b.jpg. Generally, the JPEG version should be used in articles in order to reduce the file size of thumbnail images. However, any edits to the image should be based on this version in order to prevent generational loss, and both versions should be updated. Description
English: Ordinary hexagonal dendrite snowflake, highly magnified by a low-temperature scanning electron microscope. This version has been artificially colorized to emphasize the central flake.
Français : Flocon dendritique hexagonal ordinaire, fortement agrandi par un microscope électronique à balayage et à basse température. Version colorisée pour mettre en évidence le flocon central.
