[edit] Trivia section
I wonder if some of the trivia section should be removed. Its quickly becoming an storage area for unneeded cruft and WP:NOT cautions against the inclusion of unencyclopediac information. I'd appreciate some second thoughts on this before I take any action. -ZeroTalk 17:38, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'd agree with you on removing these:
-
- When Athena wins or loses by time out, she transforms into her sprite from the original Athena. If she loses, she also spins and falls as in the death animation.
- When losing to Red Arremer, some characters get turned into enemies from Ghosts 'n Goblins.
- When Red Arremer loses by time out, he transforms into his sprite from the original Ghosts 'n Goblins. eliasHC 17:53, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

- So sue me...a good portion all the things I've ever chose to add to this site have been the subject of much criticism, and ultimately removal. Heck, ask Danny Lillithborne. I just don't think like the 'sensible' types do, okay? It's getting safe to say that I am among the more unreliable sources...eh. Sprinter h 01:19, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Official website of SNK Playmore
Which link should I add to the "External links" section?
- this one (currently in use)
- or this one (I'd say this one is more informative) eliasHC 19:31, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Morrigan
Does Morrigan Aensland appears in this videogame as an hidden char or something? I saw a pic of her with KOF style sprites
- A French sprite artist drew those. They don't appear in any official game. JuJube 10:09, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Second Paragraph
...is biased, dontcha think?
"The game aims to bring together the best of Capcom and SNK fighting games, but unlike the Capcom vs. SNK series that was developed by Capcom, this game puts an "SNK" spin on it."
Sauce? I guess you could ASSUME that is what the aim of the game is, but since you probably didn't design it, that makes it your opinion.
Also, isn't the next sentence ("...an SNK spin..." assumed?
"The game was not well received and made its way into the budget priced department in a few weeks after release"
Not that I doubt this to be true (SNK has always been, and will always be niche gaming), but a citation (sales data, reviews, etc) would be nice.
Just my two cents. 66.245.20.46 04:24, 3 March 2007 (UTC)kazuo
- While SVC Chaos is almost universally agreed to be the worst of the Capcom/SNK crossover games, I agree that without sources, the statement is biased. I suggest you be bold and try your hand at rewriting the language. ^_^ JuJube 04:38, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
As for why SvC was not on the PS2, "Then we addressed the rumor that Sony had forced the company into making pack-ins for their 2D titles. Ben reminded us that pack-ins were indeed his plan all along (as he said in the last interview), but acknowledged that Sony was definitely more receptive to the pack-in idea than the single package. SvC Chaos and Metal Slug 3 stand alone discs were not approved, for instance.'' But he was quick to defend Sony, saying that their standards are very high. According to Ben they’re not just about “2D=bad”, they’re also very concerned about games bringing a ‘new experience’ to the system. One wonders how the droves of generic 3D action slashers make it on there, but that’s a different story" [3].
SCEA prefered the bundle rather than single disc and this is why SvC was not on the PS2, it is a possibility of price issue. Nauto 18:21, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The title
Does anyone think that maybe we should move the article? I mean, right now it's just got some kind of weird redundancy going on. We basically have the title as SNK vs. Capcom Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom, which I think everyone can agree sounds stupid if you think about it. I don't entirely feel good about moving it, but it seems like it would work better at SNK vs. Capcom Chaos. Plus, when listing out the Capcom vs. SNK games, it makes it fit in with the rest of the series better. Thoughts?--SeizureDog 20:53, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- "SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom" is the official title of the game as seen in the attract sequence, though. JuJube 20:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's not that consistant though. It's SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos (reversed) on the spine part of the keep case. --SeizureDog 21:05, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's sold as "SVC Chaos SNK vs. Capcom" by Amazon. No colon. :/ JuJube 21:08, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Did you notice the comics are being sold with the colon though? Anyways, Amazon can be inconsistant as hell with titles, so it's not a good judge of things. Point is, lots of reviews and stuff give the double title just because they want to put down exactly what's on the box. My point is that it might not be such a great idea. When somebody asked which games I own recently, I stumbled with this title because I felt stupid saying the "full" title. And when you think about it, isn't it kinda strange to have the series come as the subtitle? It feels really unnatural to me.--SeizureDog 21:33, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, that's the least of the stupid things about this game (*kicks Mega Man Zero*). The game's generally known as "SvC", so I'd say it should probably be at "SVC Chaos" if it needs to be changed. JuJube 21:38, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Heh indeed. Well, I think a third opinion (at least) is needed here before anything is done. I perfer SNK vs. Capcom Chaos, but SVC Chaos is still better than SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom to me.--SeizureDog 12:40, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

- For what it's worth, all the Japanese sources I've seen (including the SNK Playmore site) list the game as "SNK vs. Capcom SVC Chaos". Like the Japanese Wikipedia page points out, eventhough the "SNK vs. Capcom" part is underneath "SVC Chaos" on the title screen, "SNK vs. Capcom SVC Chaos" appears to be the official title. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 12:38, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Excellent point Anon. It does seem that it is copyrighted as "SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS". This seems like good cause to flip the title.--SeizureDog (talk) 15:01, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Svcchaos title.png
Image:Svcchaos title.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
