Wolverine: Snikt!

Wolverine: Snikt! is a Wolverine story arc written and drawn by manga artist Tsutomu Nihei. It was originally published as Wolverine: Snikt! #1-5 comic book, and collected in the trade paperback as Wolverine Legends Volume 5. The title refers to the sound effect of Wolverine's claws popping - this is a metallic noise always written as "snikt".

In the comic Wolverine is transported about 100 years into the future where he is confronted by a sentient bacteria designed to clean up pollution. The only material the bacteria cannot metabolize is adamantium, making Wolverine an ideal agent to use against them (his claws and skeleton are laced with the metal).
