Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Mega Man Classic. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -FisherQueen 12:32, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Super Star Wars. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. -FisherQueen 19:23, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue spamming, as you did in Super Mario All-Stars, you will be blocked from editing. -FisherQueen 19:26, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Super Metroid, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. -FisherQueen 19:27, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Misunderstood

Hello fisher,

I saw other websites such as MobyGames was linking to there internal pages without being removed, i see i've done nothing different.

Is it only classed as 'spam' when you link to the homepage - rather than the page in question?

Thanks for your time

Your actions were classed as spam when we asked you to stop repeatably and continued. WP:INN explains how other people's inclusion does not guarantee yours. Also you can read WP:COI which discusses our conflict of interest policy. If you have any more questions you can ask me here or on my talk page. HighInBC (Need help? Hi,

Sorry I'm kinda new to wikipedia, didn't get any emails or warnings that i had messages under my account.

The links was all added roughly at the same time so when i saw the first warning, i saw them all.

I'll only link to the relevant pages from now on, thanks for pointing it out.

May I suggest that you reccomend the link to the editors on the talk page of the article instead of directly adding it to the articles? If the link is really relevent the other editors will add it. Even adding the same link to relevent articles can be considered spamming if you do it repeatable. If this is your website I ask you to read our conflict of interest policy. HighInBC (Need help? [edit] Please stop spamming Wikipedia

Mass addition of links to sites, especially revenue generating ones as you have done, is still spam even when there is something of a connection between the article and the page you are linking to. Please consider helping us build a GFDL encyclopedia by adding well sourced content to articles instead of promoting external websites.
