Snead Island

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Snead Island is a small island near St. Petersburg, Florida. The island is primarily residential, though there are two private dry boat storage facilities and remnants of a former palm-tree nursery. Much of the island is still undeveloped. Most of the island's residents are native Floridians, which is atypical in the surrounding Manatee County area.[citation needed] Property values in the area have risen steadily since 2005, unlike other nearby communities.[citation needed]
