This is a major problem that spreads much farther than just this article: "Climbing The Ladder" is actually originally by the Isley Brothers. This is not noted on any official Snakefinger release, so it's not surprising that the internet community thinks that it's a Snakefinger original; but if you look on the Isley Brothers' 1977 album Go For Your Guns, you'll note the same song (though it is titled "Climbing Up the Ladder, Pt. 1 & 2").

This confusion is likely the result of miscommunication and/or laziness among Snakefinger, et al.
