The copyright situation of this logo is currently unclear. Please contact me under erik AT wikimedia DOT org so we can try to resolve this; what is needed is a formal transfer of copyright to the Wikimedia Foundation before this logo can be officially adopted.--Eloquence* 05:37, 11 March 2007 (UTC) Hi. One of the obstacles to adoption of the Wiktionary logo has been concern that the tiles too closely resemble Scrabble tiles and so may infringe on some trademark rights of Hasbro/PB. To eliminate that obstacle, we merely need to change the background color of the tiles. See m:Talk:Wiktionary/logo#Trademark infringement. Are you able to change the background color of those tiles? [edit] Farewell weekHi, hope you are well. I wanted to let you know that I have decided to leave Wikipedia and so this is my last week here. I've found it all very worthwhile, but I feel now is the time to leave, so I'm off to try new things, see more old things, etc. It was great to meet you here and particularly nice of you to consider me a "Wikichum". You have one of the best userpages I think I've ever seen on Wikipedia. All the best and good luck with whatever you go on to do. About 14 months ago, I self nominated for an RfA, which I ultimately withdrew (see here). During that RfA, you lodged an oppose vote, and I have taken a lot of the comments from that failed RfA on board since then. I am now up to an average of near on 875 to 900 edits per year, having only recently got back to the net from health issues (Throat cancer), and I am once again considering attempting a request for adminship. I am writing to all those editors who opposed my original self-nomination to ask them to see if they would be kind enough to review my recent work, and to see whether they consider that I have taken those points from my old RfA on board enough to warrant another attempt. I am enjoying getting back into the swing of working on Wikipedia again, and looking forward to enjoying many more years of work. I am now using Twinkle and VandalFighter for my reversion work on RCP and CVU, and looking to the future. Thank you for your time, and for your comments. Thorsteinn A. I suggest you to use this time period to put it up as an official Wikipedia barnstar before they raise the requirements again. Btw, nice userpage.

You may want to add the {{ListoftheDayheader}} or {{ListoftheDaylayout}} templates somewhere in your userspace. Other template options are at User:TonyTheTiger/List of the Day/templates. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC) [edit] http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Map_of_world_by_beer_consumption.pngHi. I see that you have updated this image in the past. I've downloaded the file and updated it per the current List of countries by beer consumption per capita article to color Iceland, Slovenia, and France. I've got a commons account and have uploaded a few images in the past, but I've just spent half an hour unsuccessfully trying to figure out how to update this image on commons. Can you help me out by pointing me towards the info on how to do that? Thanks. -- Boracay Bill (talk) 03:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
