Welcome!

Hello, SMP0328, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  BD2412 T 23:50, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

P.S. - interesting username... I take it you oppose the federal income tax and direct elections to the Senate? BD2412 T 23:51, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

I agree...what agenda you got in mind...? BoL 02:22, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] George W. Bush

Please do not blank entire sections as you did on George W. Bush. If you believe there is a neutrality problem, please edit the section to correct that problem or leave a note on the talk page so that others may address the problem. From my perspective, the section is properly sourced and meets the requirements of WP:NPOV, WP:RS, and WP:V. Alternate opinions could/should be included if they are not already, but simply blanking the sections creates more of a neutrality issue than keeping it. - auburnpilot talk 22:37, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Uh, yeah

Hi, you put a message on the wrong place, it's supposed to be on my talk page. Not my user page. BoL 02:49, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] December 2007

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to George W. Bush, you will be blocked from editing. BoL 02:51, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Username

This account with this username has been blocked indefinitely because the username may be rude or inflammatory, be unnecessarily long or confusing, be too similar to an existing user, contain the name of an organization or website, refer to a Wikipedia or Wikimedia Foundation process or namespace, or be otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username.

Alternately, you may request a change in username if you want to keep the contributions from this account. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked.
  3. You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request before you may be re-blocked. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use; do not create the new account then request a name change. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.

In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is much easier to create a new account. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.

If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "I believe that the word "Criticism" in the title of the disputed section shows biased when compared to simply entitling that section "Public perceptions." With that said, I don't want to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. I will not make that edit again, although I will discuss it in that article's talk section. Please unblock me. Thank You."

Decline reason: "You were blocked for your activist username, not your vandalism (which doesn't help your case). RlevseTalk 03:27, 31 December 2007 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

Note: see here for evidence of username issue. RlevseTalk 03:27, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

If my username is such a problem, why wasn't anything said to me about it back on April 30, 2006?--Repeal 16-17 (talk) 03:38, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Even though I like my current username, I'm willing to change it so as to come into compliance. May I be unblocked so that I can formally request the change. If not, give me an alternative so I can make the change. I'd rather not have to make a new account.--Repeal 16-17 (talk) 05:55, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Post your request here and I'll make the request for you. Wikipedia:Changing username should tell you what you need to provide. NoSeptember 06:07, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
=== Repeal 16-17 → SMP0328 ===

Your name has been changed. Try to edit another page to see if you are blocked. NoSeptember 06:33, 31 December 2007 (UTC) I see you can edit.

Proceed cautiously when making major changes to major articles that are heavily edited, what is there is often the result of much discussion about what should be there. I have seen you explain your edits to other pages and engage in talk page discussion. so you are on the right track. Blanking a section like that was not a good idea, and once your header change was reverted, you should have stuck to the talk page to discuss instead of reverting back (see 3RR). Live and learn, and remember that there is no deadline to getting things right. NoSeptember 06:49, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

I have seen the light!!! Just kidding, but I will be careful around heavily edited articles. Thank You. --SMP0328 (talk) 07:00, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
