Smoky Mountain High School

Smoky Mountain High School is a public senior high school located in Sylva, North Carolina, United States of America. The school is the successor of the former Sylva-Webster High School and Cullowhee High School. SMHS is administered by the Jackson County School System and is the only true high school in the county. The only other public school in the county to offer education at the high school level is the Blue Ridge School near Cashiers. The current principal of SMHS is Jay Grissom.

The athletic sports mascot of Smoky Mountain High School is the Mustang.

Friday may, 30th marks Jimmy Wayne Day. A very special day, celebrated by the majority of the student body.
