Just telling myself off for uploading a picture without checking the copyright! Now flagged for deletion. It was Image:Brighton_sewers_thumbnail.jpeg --Smiker 09:36, 17 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image tags
Just curious to know what the importance is with all the images that are being changed from {{logo}} to {{logo|Academic institution logos}}. I've written a number of school articles, and I've seen you change a few of the logo tags. If I understood/knew about this, I could make certain any future school article logos are tagged appropriately. --Stephane Charette 13:37, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

You're right. The Crown Copyright template is not acceptable for this image. Images which use that template must come from a source which permits reproduction. However there are many UK government logos under the basic logo tag and I think this is acceptable here. Mark83 23:02, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

How is stating the fact that Jonathan King is a child sex offender vandalism? He is it's a fact! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.151.76.144 (talk) .
- My response: Unfortunately, it was the placement of the information that was at issue. The details are recorded on the page at Jonathan King along with a number of other details. The place for the 'facts' will be the article, not as additional text to the links. Smiker 18:13, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for replying. Still think it's important that people who live in the area and have kid's should be aware of the risks. King has recently been banned from youtube and myspace trying to big up his celeb status. He's also used props such as stuffed toys and boasted about his fan mail from kid's. Surely still a potential risk. I'd want to know if I was living next door to him.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:CharterhouseCrest.gif
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:CharterhouseCrest.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Zedla (talk) 05:02, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DCLeisureManagement.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:DCLeisureManagement.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:53, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
