This template should be placed on the main page of the article. The {{SmithDGRBM talk}} template should also be placed on the talk page. This will add the talk page to the proper category.

There are four optional parameters:

• author= refers to the author of the respective entry (see p. 2 et seq. of the Dictionary).
• article= refers to the name of the entry in the dictionary.
• volume= refers to the number of the volume (1, 2 or 3) in which the respective entry appears.
• page= refers to the page number on which the respective entry appears. This parameter should be used concurrently with "volume".
