Smith Ranch-Highland

Smith Ranch and Highland are uranium mining operations located in Wyoming,U.S.A. They are operated as a single operation, but have separate processing facilities. The Smith Ranch-Highland operation is the largest uranium production facility in the United States.

Smith Ranch and Highland are roll-front uranium deposits. Uranium is recovered using In-Situ Recovery (ISR) mining methods. As of December 31, 2007, proven and probable reserves are:

Highland - 928,600 tonnes at an average grade of 0.12% U3O8. (2.5 Million pounds)
Smith Ranch - 3,617,700 tonnes at an average grade of 0.12% U3O8. (9.5 Million pounds)

The Smith Ranch-Highland operation is owned by Cameco Resources Inc., a subsidiary of Cameco Corporation.
