A native of Thakurdwar in Mumbai, she is a Maharashtrian whose husband, Mohan Jaykar, is the son of esteemed Marathi barrister Jaykar. She is renowned for her roles in Marathi television serials and scores of films. Among her 2000s films are Astitva, Mujhse Dosti Karoge!
