Smilisca fodiens is a species of frog in the Hylidae family. It is found in Mexico and the United States. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, intermittent freshwater marshes, and temperate desert. It is threatened by habitat loss.
