Please do not accuse other editors of vandalism without good reason. Please do not mischaracterize other editors' edits. You have done both with respect to the article Redneck. Please see WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. Thanks; happy editing. --Allen 22:27, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
I would think that accusing an entire class of people of incest is certainly vandalism, and hardly civil, and yet you accuse me of incivility? You need perspective, and shame on you too. SmallFish 00:51, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- The other editor was not accusing anyone of incest. They were including (or re-including) incest on a list of stereotypes of "rednecks". These characteristics are not meant to describe real people, but portrayals of a stereotype. Occasionally, editors will insert text in this section of the article as if it were a collection of descriptions of real people. But that's not the intention of the Stereotypes section, and it wasn't the intent of the "incestuous" edit in particular, which was part of a sentence reading, "Redneck females are sometimes portrayed as sexually promiscuous and incestuous." The sentence wasn't sourced, but it was not accusing anybody of incest, and it was not vandalism. --Allen 01:05, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
