[edit] Provincial parks

Hi, just a couple of notes about your sandbox pages for provincial parks in BC.

  1. You shouldn't actually file a sandbox page directly in an article category until it's ready to go live; you can put a colon before the word "category" in the category link (like [[:Category:this]]) to make it a text link, and then remove the extra colon when you're ready to move the page into real article space.
  2. Category:Provincial Parks of British Columbia is already a subcategory of Category:Geography of British Columbia, so you shouldn't file an article in both categories simultaneously. Wikipedia actually has rules about this.

No big worry, I see you're fairly new around here, so you may not have known this yet. Bearcat 09:00, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Strathcona Provincial Park

Thanks for the editing of the work I did yesterday on this article. Every one of them is an improvement that I should have caught in making the changes to your article when I did them. Such collaborations achieve a positive result, glad to work with you on it. Just reading about the Valencia, an article that I had thought should be done. Pleased to come across it, a well done article! Cheers. KenWalker | Talk 18:50, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the message, Ken! You did an excellent job of expanding the Strathcona article. It's always great to find other Wikipedians who are interested in similar topics. :) Cheers! →smably 19:13, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Could you specify which sentences do not have the correct "tone" so I can fix them? Pepso 09:19, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fort Rodd Hill

Hi Smably!

Hope I haven't caused a lot of extra work or hair-pulling; as you can tell, I'm a newbie here, and pretty much feeling my way on the Fort Rodd story (particularly working the images).

A couple of questions--the images: I'm the Curator at Fort Rodd & Fisgard Lighthouse NHSs; the images that I have used are from our Parks Canada collection--our usual criteria is "no commercial repro & give Parks and the photographer, where known, a credit." What licence style should I be using on Wikipedia (given that I'm the one responsible to give permission for use of these images!)

Let me know how I can make your life easier! Thanks for your assistance. -Dave Storeswallah 22:26, 10 January 2007 (UTC)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Storeswallah (talkcontribs) 22:25, 10 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ys cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ys cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:26, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
