[edit] Location

I vote that "Smallville" should be moved to "Smallville (town)" and that the new "Smallville" article should be what is now called "Smallville (TV Series)".

Precedents:

  • Linux is an article about the Operating System "Linux", because that is what people normally refer to when they say Linux, not the kernel "Linux".
  • Harry Potter is about the series of books "Harry Potter", not the character of Harry Potter.

I vote "no"; Smallville the town has been in existence much longer than (and is the source material for) the "Smallville" TV show (and the comic version will be around a lot longer after the TV show's axed). Anthony Dean 02:38, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
No There's a link to the TV show at the top of the article. That's more than enough. CovenantD 03:59, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
I vote no. 'Smallville' the town is a much broader topic than 'Smallville' the show. tidho 04:25, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SBT

WHY THE KID SMALLVILLE-SUPERBOY IS NOT PASSING IN BRAZIL ON THE CHANNEL SBT?

[edit] Kelly Brook

I've just written an article on Kelly Brook, a British model who appeared in four episodes of Smallville as the girlfriend of Lex Luthor (season 1?). I don't know the series so don't know if she was a significant character in the series... so don't know whether to link to her from this article. Can any Smallville fans fill me in? Pete/Pcb21 (talk) 23:46, 10 May 2004 (UTC)

Was in enough episodes to be notable, added. Tom- 09:03, 11 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Pete Ross

What happens to the black guy?

I believe you are referring to Pete Ross; he left at the end of season 3 Kidburla2002 23:18, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] lex

how old is lex supposed to be

[edit] Geography 101

I've seen DC Universe which puts Smallville in IL, & I seem to recall that's what the origin said, before (#...) retcon... Trekphiler 19:41, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

As stated in the article, Smallville's location has been vague over the years (though don't believe any source has ever put it in Illinois). Not sure what "DC Universe" is supposed to be (a book?). Anthony Dean 22:51, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] External link additions (and User:68.235.249.231)

Don't know if this user's constant addition of a link to a fansite (his own?) is just repeated vandalism/trolling, spamming, or just failing to observe Wikipedia rules, but links related to the TV show Smallville don't belong on this page, but should go on the TV series' page; this page is meant for discussing the original comic book incarnation's version of Smallville, as indicated clearly at the top of the page. Anthony Dean 22:51, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Verify

There are certain things (like the opinions of the towns economy, etc) that actually need sources. Interviews with creators, film makers, etc would be a good call for that type of information. Also, if someone could find online comic books, or atleast reviews about certain comic book information to back up some of the other information that would be good too. Fans know that Lana, Pete and Clark went to Smallville High, but outside readers do not, so we should have a source to actually help back that up. The same goes for the rest of the similar information. Bignole 16:58, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup and Expand

The article needs some work in the writing department along with an expansion on the town. The article maybe should be broken down into "generic information" that has carried over to every incarnation of the town, and then information that is restricted to certain variations (i.e. how it was in Lois & Clark, how it was in Smallville (the show), how it was in Superboy (the show), the different animated series). Any thoughts about that? Bignole 17:00, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Earth-2 Smallville

The Earth-2 Smallville first appeared in Superman#35.

I don't know, but I wouldn't think that the Siegel's would have missed that. I mean that was 4 years before Superboy (if the dates are right). There must be some sort of claus excluding that since it technically isn't in the same continuity as "Earth-1". I'm not sure. If it's true then I say, great find, but it's kind of hard to verify personal websites, especially when almost every other source agrees that Superboy has the first instance of Smallville. Then again, I think what is being said is that the first time Smallville was crowned Clark's home was in Superboy, not the first time it is mentioned, at least I think that's what the Siegels are arguing. [edit] Smallville Citizens

I think a list of former and current Smallville citizens would be very noteable. Heck, Martian Manhunter was once a citizen.

Also a history of the danged place. It has a rich and colorful history, well established, elaborated and danged interesting. For example, Bruce Wayne, as a child, traveled through it. Lots42 05:24, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Smallville Sign.jpg

Image:Smallville Sign.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
