[edit] Small Faces v. The Small Faces discussion

The article is called The Small Faces. On all the group's album covers it's consistently printed Small Faces - i.e., no definite article; therefore, the article should be renamed. --82.9.118.74 15:01, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

I agree - not having a 'the' as opposed to so many of their contemparies was part of what was Small Faces Smurray22 22:53, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I agree, normally written as just Small Faces. Sue Wallace 02:46, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Agree. Article should be changed to Small Faces with a re-driect. --Design 08:55, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

If I move the page to Small Faces will it auto re-direct, I'm not sure? ♥♪♫♥♪♫ 11:00, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

One interesting note, though...the "Sha La La La Lee" sleeve lists them as "The Small Faces," and while the Deram double-CD shows "Small Faces," the "Immediate Collection" box seems to make a specific point of using the article and never printing "Small Faces" without the "The." I have no idea where I saw this, but I seem to remember an interview with Steve which I read back in the '60s in which he said, with his usual humour, something to the effect that, "Yeh, Small Faces is what we are, The Small Faces is who we are." Not sure if this should enter into the discussion, since I have no idea what mag I saw it in. StavinChain 17:48, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

hmmmm.... interesting, I've never come across that article. In an interview in a Paolo Hewitt book, Marriott is directly quoted in an interview (1984); "They'd say whats the name of the group? - cos in those days it was a very heavy thing. I'd say (mumble) 'Small Faces', and they'd go. "what?... 'Small Faces'. And they'd go 'fuck off, you gotta be joking!" - no 'The'. ♥♪♫♥♪♫ 18:31, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Clen up v. Clean up

clen up this article; it is dirty as hell. I am not going to donate this year; it is totally rude to ask me for money when such articles are left around un-edited.

"clen" it up yourself, bud. You're just looking for an excuse not to pay.

OK, I'll bite: what needs cleaning? I don't see any problems other than insignificant grammatical issues. Specificity would be appreciated.

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. [edit] Discography

I moved the {{Small Faces}} template from the discography section to the page footer (its appropriate position), and I copied the discography part of that template in the discography section. I leaved the original wikitable code and format, but without the external border. Also, I inserted a {{Main}} template and I changed the See also section from 3rd to 2nd level. IMO, it's better to don't use wikitable, singles and live albums in that section, but I'm not a DELETIONIST! If you have some questions/problems, I'd like to help! —PJoe F. Hi, didn't realise I hadn't put the discography template at the bottom of the page, thanks for moving it, I did delete the discography section, as it is in effect a duplicate of the information in the template. I hope to add some more info and general adds to this article soon so the extra space will be needed (just need to motivate myself). Sue Wallace (talk) 17:51, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] touring

I do not read anything on their touring through Europe. I know they did , in 1968 ... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alcid (talkcontribs) 20:01, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

They toured Europe alot throughout their career not just 1968. Sue Wallace (talk) 09:12, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I tought their touring was worth a few paragraphes Alcid (talk) 17:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, it is, didn't mean to sound like I didn't, they were very popular in Europe, esp. Germany and Sweden, I'm just thinking how to integrate it so that it flows nice. Sue Wallace (talk) 18:12, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Were they involved with the medieval reenactment scene?
