This is a collection of stub articles about small, local, or niche genre conventions that do not yet warrant their own article. Genre conventions broadly cover the areas of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Gaming, Anime, Comics, Horror, or other similar subject matters.

All-Con is a three-day event held annually in the Dallas, Texas, area. All-Con provides an umbrella of content supporting fans of science fiction, fantasy, Renaissance, anime, costuming, theater/performing arts, mystery, art, crafts, collecting, and filmmaking.

To help 'give back' there are several charity events at the convention every year. The All-Con motto is "We Serve The Fan Community."

All-Con 2005, the first All-Con event, was held at the Sterling Hotel in Dallas on February 4-6, 2005. Guests included artist Adam Hughes, author Troy Denning, actor Bill Johnson, comedian Barry Diamond, plus Star Wars actors Gerald Home and Christine Hewett.

All-Con 2006 was held at the Sterling Hotel in Dallas on March 17-19, 2006. Guests included The Crow creator James O'Barr, artist Ben Dunn, actor Ken Feinberg, actor James Horan, actor Bill Blair, plus Star Wars actors Jay Laga'aia and Nalini Krishan.

All-Con 2007 was held at the Crowne Plaza North Dallas in Addison, Texas on March 16-18, 2007. Guests included artist J. K. Woodward, voice actor Neil Kaplan, plus Battlestar Galactica actresses Luciana Carro and Kate Vernon.

All-Con 2008 was held at the Crowne Plaza North Dallas in Addison, Texas on March 7-9, 2008. Guests included Battlestar Galactica actor Aaron Douglas, Return of the Jedi actors Tim Dry, Sean Crawford, and Mike Edmonds, plus Blazing Saddles actor Burton Gilliam and Who Wants to be a Superhero? contestant Tonya Kay (aka Creature).

Ambercon is a gaming convention held annually in late March or early April in the Detroit, Michigan, area. Ambercon bills itself as the premier international Amber Diceless Roleplaying convention. The Amber Diceless Roleplaying Game system is based on the Chronicles of Amber series of books by the late science fiction author Roger Zelazny.

  • Ambercon 2004 was held March 25-28, 2004. Organizing committee chair was Kris Fazzari. Webmaster was Kris Fazzari.
  • Ambercon 2005 was held March 31-April 3, 2005. Organizing committee chair was Kris Fazzari. Webmaster was Kris Fazzari.

Ancient City Con is a science fiction and fantasy, gaming, anime, LAN, and comics convention in St. Augustine, Florida. The first such one-day event was held on October 6, 2007, at the Comfort Suites at World Golf Village located at 475 Commerce Lake Dr. in St. Augustine.

In August of 2006, a few friends were discussing how they wished there was more convention activity for anime, comics, and gaming of all types in northeast Florida. They wanted to bring together those genre enthusiasts from the local community as well as out of town travelers to their city. Their mission was to create a diversified event for the enjoyment of fans of science fiction, fantasy, gaming (RPGs, CCGs, CMGs, board games, miniatures, historical, LAN, console, and more), anime and comics.

A second event, this time expanded to two days, has been scheduled for August 2-3, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront in Jacksonville, Florida.

The International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts, is the annual conference for the IAFA, or the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts. Lazy Dragon Con is a three-day relaxicon held in the McKinney, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas. Lazy Dragon Con is sponsored by Lazy Dragon LLC, dealers of blades "From Pocketknives to Broadswords," and is not related to Dragon Con in any way.

Lazy Dragon Con is a party-oriented convention with informal/minimal programming. This programming includes gaming, contests, a dealers' room, video room, parties, and more. Organizers describe the event as "a weekend-long party with friends." The convention provides a relaxed environment for people who enjoy science fiction to meet new friends and talk about their interests.

Lazy Dragon Con (2007) - The first Lazy Dragon Con event was held August 3-5, 2007, at the Holiday Inn McKinney.[2] The hotel is located at 1300 North Central Expressway, McKinney, TX 75069. Notable media guests included Guest of Honor Peter Mayhew plus Bill Johnson, James Hampton, and Burton Gilliam.[3] Other notable guests included artist/author and creator of The Crow James O'Barr, singer/songwriter Sarah Gillmore, artist Brad W. Foster, authors Mari Atherton and Gloria Oliver, plus artists Jake Nealis, Jay Ewald, Gwynn Farrith, and Katy Dehay. The Fan Guests of Honor were Joseph Marchione and Christopher David Neathery. The convention also honored Lee Martindale as Author Guest of Honor Who Won't Be Coming for her assistance with the event. The 2007 Lazy Dragon Fun-Jell Wrestling Champion was Kari Watkins of Plano, Texas. The event raised over $1600 to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

A silent auction and other events are scheduled to raise money and awareness for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Revelcon (formerly "REVELcon") is a three-day fan-run relax-a-con/zinefest held annually in Houston, Texas by Several Unlimited. Programming typically includes the Friday Nite Party, a dealers' room, a hospitality suite, a vid show, a music vid contest, an art show and auction, plus panels and fannish discussions. This fanzine and media-oriented convention describes itself as "gen and slash friendly" and is more adult-oriented than a typical general interest science fiction convention. As such, membership is restricted to those 18 years of age and older.

Several Unlimited is a fan club dedicated to any and all fandoms in any media. Several Unlimited actively supports conventions in the Houston area, and REVELcon in particular.

Texas Frightmare Weekend is a horror-oriented for-profit media event held occasionally in the Dallas, Texas area. Guests have included actors, directors, and producers from classic and upcoming horror films.

The first Texas Frightmare Weekend was held February 4-5, 2006, at the Grapevine Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.[4] Guests included Joe Bob Briggs, Linnea Quigley, Ashlie Rhey, Brinke Stevens, Jon Keeyes, Scott von Doviak, Tom Savini, and Ses Carny. A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the "founding father of bad cinematic blood," Herschell Gordon Lewis.

The second Texas Frightmare Weekend was held June 22-24, 2007, at the Omni Dallas Park West hotel in Dallas, Texas. The Guest of Honor at this event was director George Romero. Programming included screenings of upcoming and classic horror films, panels about horror films and actors, roundtable discussions, documentary screenings, autograph signings, and a special presentation of "Inside the B-Actor's Studio with Clint Howard." A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to effects maestro Tom Savini. Other guests included John Russo, Jeffrey Combs, Linnea Quigley, Doug Bradley, Ashley Laurence, Kristina Klebe, Danielle Harris, Nancy Loomis, Adrienne Barbeau, Lew Temple, Angela Bettis, Ken Evert, Eileen Dietz, Cerina Vincent, George Kosana, Russell Streiner, Charles Cyphers, Barbara Nedeljáková, Gaylen Ross, Jonathan Breck, Camden Toy, Tom Atkins, C.A. Broadstone, Tony Simmons, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Lloyd Kaufman, Caroline Williams, and James Hampton.

A third Texas Frightmare Weekend was held at the DFW Lakes Hilton in Grapevine, Texas, on February 22-24, 2008. This led to controversy in the local fannish community as this was the same weekend as ConDFW, a science fiction convention held annually on this weekend since 2002.
