SM Makati also known as Shoemart Makati is a shopping center located at Ayala Center, cor EDSA, Makati City near Glorietta Mall. It opened in 1975 and was relaunched in the year 2004.

After the success of Henry Sy Sr. of Shoemart in Quiapo, Manila, He opened another department store in the commercial district of Makati in the year 1975. At this year, A significant change happened when the name Shoemart, abbreviated into SM, deemed as more universal and has become the most recognizable brands in the Philippines.
