I can't tell why this page was marked for cleanup so I have verified the basic information, added a reference in the form of an external link, and removed the cleanup tag. - JD
[edit] Further cleanup & potential to merge
Given the Commonwealth of Virginia's prior use of the term, a cited case for notability can presumably be made for this concept, but it's not there yet. Please add it if possible.
That said, the concept is not so different from carpooling that it couldn't be merged into two or three paragraphs in a Slugging section there, IMHO. A fair bit of the content of the article as it stands is spent discussing one site's guide to etiquette that may or may not be universally applicable seems to be written in a informal tone. Stuff like that we could possibly live without, although I wanted to bring it up here first - Any objections? MrZaiustalk 20:52, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- The BBC has taken interest in the concept, among many other reliable sources. Surely there are enough sources to support this article and improve it. --Aude (talk) 21:16, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough - Given some objection and the refs for note, dropping the point. MrZaiustalk 20:42, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
I've just done a general copyedit to clean up the style, add relevant wikilinks, and globalise the language. This involved removing some text, but only what I considered to be redundant and overly wordy. -dmmaus 23:39, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- Looks good. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I deleted the rule about "no talking." While a very few drivers cling to this rule, it is not one that is in general practice. As a commuter in Northern Virginia I've both driven and ridden. In fact, drivers who still try to enforce this rule are generally considered rude by riders. This is at least the case for riders and drivers traveling to and from the Springfield/Burke area to all destinations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.174.181.204 (talk) 02:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
