Slute, a recently-invented two-stringed instrument. It is similar to a slide guitar in that it has a slide, which is the sole means of sound-changing, but it is different from every other string instrument in that the strings are not plucked, they are hit with a tong (basically a drumstick), which gives it a distinctive country 'yokel' type sound. It has a long neck, which gives it a range from the F below the (treble) stave to the G on top of the stave. It has 2 tuning pegs for the strings, and it has a proper bridge and nut. The body is made out of a length of circular PVC pipe.
