[edit] Recent Contribution Efforts

I like biology, especially zoology. I have been reading a lot of peer-reviewed journals about vertebrates. I am fascinated by the order Carnivora, especially felids, canids, and bears. Recently I have been working on the entries for tigers, cheetahs, lions, and pumas (puma work-in-progress page). I have recently started volunteering at the Carnivore Preservation Trust which houses exotic cat rescues including an ocelot, a snow leopard, and several leopards and tigers.

[edit] Music

More than anything else, I enjoy music. I like a lot of music, but mainly '90s British rock, shoegazing, dream pop, early noise pop, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, indie rock, and Christian rock. My electric guitar style has been most influenced by Noel Gallagher, Eric Clapton, Andy Bell, and The Edge.

My favourite secular artists include Ride, Oasis, Coldplay, The Verve, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, George Harrison, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, U2, Belle and Sebastian, and British Sea Power. My favourite Christian artists include Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Matt Redman, Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche, and Travis Cottrell.

My favourite albums are Ride's Nowhere, Oasis' (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, and The Beatles' Revolver.

I also enjoy playing music, and music theory. I play piano, guitar, trumpet, bass guitar, and drums.

[edit] Other Interests

Other fields of interest are religion (mainly Christianity), pharmacology, molecular biology, taxonomy, and psychology.

[edit] What takes up my time

I am a full time student at Campbell University. I have just completed my studies for a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Science with a Minor in Music. In the fall, I will begin to pursue my Master of Science and Master of Divinity degrees at Campbell. I've working in a research lab alongside one of my professors. My work is focused on using molecular biology techniques to develop a further understanding of muscular dystrophy by observing mRNA expression of phosphodiesterase in house mice.

I attend Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church where I am very involved. I play trumpet for the Sunday morning service. As a youth leader with the high school group, I direct the youth choir and codirect the worship team. As part of the worship team, I play piano, electric guitar, and sing - sometimes lead, sometimes tenor.
