Now, I can't be sure, but it always seemed to me that this song was a satirical protest of sorts. The fact that the lyrics are so obscenely violent yet are posed to such a mellow tune seems to emphasize the absurdity of the lifestyle described--not that it's false, but that no one should have to live like that.

I'd like to hear what others think of this concept.

Someone had assumed that the song was against rappers and their lifestyles being violent... I have seen nor read anywhere that supports this idea. Nowhere in the song is anything mentioned about rappers specifically, so this false statement seems to be unfair and uncredited.
