[edit] Aquinas

St. Thomas Aquinas had a lot to say on this (his understanding of Acedia is very distant from our modern understanding of Sloth as Laziness), anyone knowledgeable enough to fill the gap?

[edit] NPOV

ok, this DEFINITELY has some pov issues. I mean, encyclopedia's are supposed to be objective, and you guys are all like 'video games aren't worthy of your time and are thus slothful' as an example. Well, someone else might think that video games are a worthy thing to do. Like, what about like....reviewing them, or something?

I dunno, I'm just saying this thing has some pov isssues and is not objectiiiiiiiiive. D:

'Catholic' and 'Christian' are not synonyms. 'Catholic' refers either to a church (organization and history) or cult (worship and practice). The religion is often called 'Christianity.' A reference to Seven deadly sins might be appropriate. This sin is often spelled accidia. Which is the more correct Latin? Might some further reading draw together some links to this entry? [edit] What language?

The only translation I can get for:

"preguiça de ir buscar bolachas à pasta que está on the floor"

is Portuguese:

"laziness to go to search big cookies to the folder that is on the floor"

and this doesn't make much sense to me.

"preguiça de ir buscar bolachas à pasta que está on the floor"

=

"laziness to get the cookies from the bag that's on the floor"
