From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For the Eurovision Song Contest 1999, Slovenia entered Se Tesoc Let, performed by Darja Švajger. The song would be translated into English as For A Thousand Years before the Contest was held.

On February 26, the Slovene final was held at the RTVSLO studios in Ljubljana, and was hosted by Mojca Mavec. There were 17 songs in the final, and the winner was decided by experts - one of whom was Marc Roberts, who had represented Ireland in 1997 - and televoting, with the televotes only counting for a third of the overall result. The favourite amongst the televoters was Zakaj.
