[edit] Displacive phase transformations
I came across this new to me definition via the vanadium oxide disambig page. In this Magnéli phases having general formulae VnO2n−1 are quoted as examples of displacive phase transformations. I would refer to these phases as cystallographic shear compounds which I think are different--before I correct the article could you confirm whether I'm right please. Cheers.
