[edit] Re:Welcome message
Sure! That box isn't in the directory; I made it myself. The code is:

You can also take a look at my babel page for the code of all my userboxes if you want.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. Happy editing! Robert 04:31, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/From a second story window
I know you said you wouldn't "reconsider," but relevant tour info has been added to this band's article, notwithstanding the fact they're on a notable label, Metal Blade Records. Please review the essay WP:OSTRICH and, now that you have more facts, consider changing your vote to a keep. Thanks. PT (s-s-s-s) 16:14, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] link to kansas city
Hello, when you want to link to the article about Kansas City, please do not link to Kansas City, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as Kansas City, Missouri by writing out Kansas City. Regards, Jeff3000 03:09, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of Daytona 500 broadcasters
I really, really don't appricate you having that particular article that I started nominated for deletion. You said that we already have a catagory for that called Motorsport announcers. Well let me tell you something, that is too vague of a category to simply skim over the selected few who had the chance to call NASCAR's biggest race. Motorsport announcers can't be narrowed to purely NASCAR since we have the Indy Car series, drag racing, Formula 1, and many many others. And simply listing the announcers by each race is not as easy as it sounds to you because it's a step-by-step process rather than simply being right in front of you. TMC1982 14 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!
Welcome, SliceNYC, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. You can support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!
I'm adding this just to begin communicating with you.
Hi Robert, nice to hear from you. Yes that was me letting all my vanity out for the honor of being in Wikipedia (which I use all the time).
Guess what, I liked my long version with all the awards more than the short version, and I'd also like to have those great Yankee moments included (more so than Peterson/Kekich). But I'm happy you're on the case and a little familiar with me....if you can restore some of what you deleted that would really please me, or you could ask me other questions, but for the most part I'm just honored to be in there.
Oh, for many years I was the baseball articles contributor to Encyclopedia Americana, maybe I should have included that as well.
Where are you? Where are all these Wikipedia people other than "out there" in cyberspace?
Marty
[edit] Baseball HOF pic
Thanks for your clarification edit. I haven't been back to Cooperstown since 2001 and had no idea that column was temporary. It probably wouldn't be too hard to find a better and more up-to-date picture altogether... —Wknight94 (talk) 04:11, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
My response - SliceNYC (Talk) 23:14, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately that was the only useful photo I had. The camera I had in 2001 was pretty bad and much of the museum is dimly lit so not many of the pictures were usable. And now I live 1,500 miles away. Sorry. —Wknight94 (talk) 01:20, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion Discussion
Hi. I'm contacting you in reference to your participation in the Paul Harris deletion discussion. That article, among others, has been nominated for deletion and I think many of the arguments you made on Paul Harris can be applied to the current discussion. Thanks. - Thanks for responding. I think it's hard for us to decide who is a "star" and who is not. We'll see how it goes. Chengwes 02:19, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
