I grew up in Schenectady, NY. I attended Schalmont Central School District. I don't believe I could have been placed in a more unprofessional, lackadaisical learning institution if reality TV existed in my formitive years. Now, I go to college at SUNY Albany, NY. There, I am getting somewhere between a 2.0-3.0 GPA and trying to sort out my future. Everything's cool, though.
I really like music. I used to like it a lot more, but last year I learned that some/most bands and groups only continue their music because of the money. This made me actually vomit. I felt so sick, I decided to back off with my love for music.
However, I am still the Promotional Director for WCDB 90.9 FM! I have a radio show there as well. It broadcasts Friday nights, from 8-10 P.M. The radio station streams through the internet, too! Listen and check out my DJ profile at http://wcdb.albany.edu.
My favorite part about radio is the interviews I conduct. Currently, here's all the people I've held on-air forums with:
- Edison, an excellent band from NYC;
- The Ultimate, a pretty cool band as well;
- Christopher Spahr, a linguist and critical analyst of socioeconomic trends;
- Denny Blaze, a 45 year old white rapper;
- Kate Cooper of Iron-On, an amazing Australian band (I have a crush on her);
- Kirk Fogg, host of Legends of the Hidden Temple;
- Static of the Gods, a rockin' three-piece rock group from Boston, MA.
When people tell me they like my show, it is the greatest thing ever. I think about it for the rest of the day, actually.
I drive a 1989 Ford Escort. Mechanically, it is the worst car I have ever repaired. The craftmanship of the parts is distressing and disturbing. However, it has no rust and looks like it is brand new. I have an unusual affinity for 1980's boxy cars. So, while I will never buy a Ford car again, I am very happy with it currently.
I like writing a lot. Last semester, I wrote a pretty cool analysis of "Bartleby the Scrivener" by Herman Melville. This Semester, I wrote one on Sylvia Plath's poem "Daddy". Very cool stuff. I was also featured in Mcsweeney's, once, because of a letter I wrote. This fictional letter was written to an unsubscriber on the Nintendo game "Paperboy", from the Point of View of the Paperboy. I guess it made a lot of people ROTFL.
I hate my ex-girlfriend. It's comfortable.
My Birthday is on November 19. Every year, I get let down. Sucky.
Thanks for reading about me. Shoot me an e-mail at slickshoes3234@netscape.net if you'd like to talk turkey.
