The Sligo Early Music Ensemble soon to be known as "Sligo Baroque", is an amateur orchestra which specialises in late Baroque music. It is based in Sligo town and plays about 10 concerts a year in venues around the north-west of Ireland.
The ensemble is conducted by Rod Alston, a harpsichord/clarinet player and often includes local soloists such as Freya Gillan (flute) and Niamh Crowley (violin). The ensemble is lead by Austin McManus.
